Get a text if your London bus is going to be late

Siemens have knocked up a real time information system for the 8,000 strong fleet of London buses.  The concept being to a) track where busses are and b) tell prospective transport customers when to expect the next bus.  Vnunet reports:

TfL hopes the system will be used to send SMS text messaging updates of a bus’s location to passengers’ mobile phones.
