HOT: Voipstunt?

I was just having a look at Alfie’s blog and came across this blog post:

VOIPSTUNT: errr. Hang about, so this gives me *free* calls to any landline in 37 countries, *and* I get a free VOIP in number?

Ok, this I have to try. More later.

The site he’s referencing is www.voipstunt.com.  I’ll give it a go and see if it isn’t some April Fools joke!   Nothing like a bit of competition to keep the market moving.

  1. I believe this run by the same company that does VoipBuster.com and SIPDiscount.com which also both offer free calls to a number of destinations.

Call quality is ok and they support SIP and IAX2 but often have technical issues.

  2. I’ve been using voipstunt all week now, the free calls remain free, but after a certain amount of time (like 10 minutes or so), you *have* to sign up with a credit card to carry on with the service. I had no problem with that to be honest, and once I’d put my cc details in! I have free calls still to all those destinations. From my pov, where Im running a small business and need to make a *lot* of calls to UK agencies and landlines, this service is a serious boon. I also think that the call quality is better than skype.
