Envirofone was mentioned on Endgaget Mobile today. I was moved to blog it — what a wicked offering: Finally, a mobile recycling service that puts its money where its mouth is!

Here’s how it works:

1. Check out how much your phone is worth
2. Trade it in online.
3. Choose if you would like a cheque or credit on your very own Argos eCard
4. Give us your details so we can send your payment
5. Send us your mobile phone in the pre paid envelope that we provide
6. Sit back and relax while we do everything for you

I love how they tell you just how much cash you’ll get for the phone. Here’s me checking out the money I’d make by getting rid of my Sony Ericsson V800:

I can’t fit all my contacts on the handset any more so I might as well trade that. Look! Almost fifty quid. That’s half way to a new iPod Nano.

What about my old Orange SPV e200?

£16 will do nicely. I’m sure it wouldn’t fetch more than that on ebay, either. It’s been sitting in my drawer doing nothing, next to all my other disused SPVs.
