Soonr – mobile desktop control

Well I’ve deliberately blanked all news about Soonr up until now.  It’s a potentially wicked service that connects your mobile phone to your Skype account, Outlook, and remote PCs.  Buuuuut it’s not for Apple Macs.  Since I transferred a good few months ago I haven’t looked back.

I tried out Soonr a good year ago… must have been a year, maybe 9 months, when they first launched their beta.  It was pretty cool.  I really, really, really like the concept of being able to dial into my data when I’m out and about.

You know if you’re in a meeting, you mention something to the person you’re meeting with, who then asks you something else… before you know it, you’re sat there in no small amount of angst trying to remember the details.  I want the facility to query my desktop search, for example, whilst I’m sat in the Renaissance at Holborn.

So, I just read in TechCrunch that Soonr now have a Mac client.  Right on!  I’m going to re-examine the service as a result.

Looks totally different from when I last saw it.
