82ASK: When you need to know

I was sat in a meeting yesterday with a colleague when it became necessary to know exactly how many postcodes and postcode addresses there were in the UK — in order to accurately calculate the business model we were discussing.

We sat an agonised for a moment, looking at each other, about to do that ready-reckoner… which,… if you’re not careful, can result in a total screwed-up business model.

So an idea popped into my head: 82ASK!

I’ve been dying for a proper excuse to use the 82ASK question answering service.  I didn’t want to send them off some contrived ‘test’ one — I wanted to use it properly.  So I got the opportunity yesterday.

Fantastic.  Absolutely fantastic.  I had the accurate answer in seconds.  £1.    Phenomenal.
