I got an email last night at 9pm from Virgin Mobile. I’ve taken a screenshot of it there on the left. I’m a Virgin customer so they were writing to let me know that their new store has opened at Lakeside Shopping Centre. (The same Lakeside who, by the way, don’t appear to quite understand how to do mobile marketing — nothing to do with Virgin though).
My brother wanted to get his hair cut over at Lakeside so I offered to accompany him — I thought I’d go and do another consumer mobile once-over to see what the various mobile related shops at this ultra popular shopping centre were doing.
Lakeside itself was totally mobbed. Tons of people everywhere. You know the economy’s doing quite well when you have to go up to at least the third or forth floor in the multistory car park to get a space.
It was quite an illuminating afternoon — I took lots of pictures, so standby for more to come…
