More confirmation that we are definitely being stiffed here in the UK.

I was taking a look at the Virgin Mobile USA monthly price plan options.

$59 a month buys you 600 peak time minutes and unlimited calls from 7pm-7am + weekends.

Then, if you’re into texting, you can buy their $9.99 option which gives you 1,000 texts a month — 1 cent each!

So, for $69 that’s you done — more or less ‘unlimited’ usage.

And that’s expensive — 600 minutes plus free nights and weekends for $40 per month on T-Mobile, then throw in 1000 messages (SMS or MMS) for $10 or unlimited for $15, then unlimited data for another $10.

So yeah, your UK prices are a bit steep

Pfft, who uses talk! how much for “unlimited” data.

(I’m shocked that T-Mobile are STILL the only UK operator to offer an affordable data plan!)
