Top Marks to Envirowise for using text messaging as a super call to action for their advertisement that I saw on the train.

But you know what I’ve been doing lately? I’ve actually been trying these things out, instead of just blogging about them. Although I’m not that interested in reducing my waste (we’re already an extremely enviromentally friendly organisation at SMS Text News), I thought I’d give it a go.

I sent the word WASTE to 88058…………

…. nothing.

I wondered what they were gonna do.

I mean seriously, what are you meant to reply back with? ‘Hi thanks for your interest’?

I really don’t know. Perhaps they could have replied back with a WAP link for me to browse some mobile web pages on Envirowise policies or something.

Maybe I’ll get a phone call tomorrow or something.
