Mobile One launches SMS crime alerts in Singapore

Mobile One (M1) has launched an SMS Crime Alert service in partnership with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) to help disseminate crime-related messages to the general public. The service will reportedly support SPF’s ongoing efforts to educate and engage Singaporeans in assisting the police to maintain law and order.

It’s a wonder that some enterprising text companies in the UK haven’t caught on to the widespread crime histeria whipped up by the press (or the reality of having your Nokia ripped out your hands!) and launched a crime alert service for London or the UK.
