A Power2B overview

I asked Sarah Lipman of Power2B to write a brief overview about their business — I understood a little from their site, but I found it a lot easier to get what they do from reading Sarah’s explanation. Very exciting. I can’t wait to see it live in a handset.

Power2B provides a completely new technology for providing true 3D interaction with a smartphone, tablet PC, television, or any other computer device. Think of a phone that can see you coming, read your body language, and offer you just what you’re looking for. Think of mobile gaming where your stylus becomes a sword, gun, or pool cue. Think of a touch-screen without the dimmed brilliance of a touch-screen. Think of point-and-click TV.

What makes Power2B truly revolutionary is that we’ve developed new algorithms and proprietary processes which allow all the power of 3D to be read from an affordable LED light source. That all adds up to: minimal size (extremely minimal!), minimal power draw, and minimal cost. This puts us in a uniquely advantageous position at a moment where the market is really ready for us.

Power2B is a US company with R&D headquarters in Israel. There’s a lot more about the company at our site: www.Power2B.net, and I’m always happy to answer questions!

Thanks Sarah!
