		<description>while i finally got mxit v3 running on my computer here in England, I am trying my best to find out how to get version5 running, so that i can send photo&#039;s etc to my best friends in South Africa, but in order to do that I am going to need your help. I also would like to know what the best cell phone is so I can upgrade my mobile &amp; get mxit on it? i f there is any advise, please let me know..thank you</description>

mgtalk-http is a J2ME Java application, thus it works with most phones. Also it uses HTTP instead of socket communications (which many other IM clients do), thus it is interoperable with almost every operator. 

mgtalk-http is based on the Jabber protocol and also works with your Google Talk account (you even get new mail notification for your gmail account).  

Since it is based on Jabber, you can also add your ICQ, MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, etc. contacts. I&#039;m using it all the day coz it&#039;s much cheaper than SMSing. 

and it&#039;s open source too..
