    Ewan presumably this is a US only service? Do you have a US cell phone these days?

    As it’s a US offering, i’m afraid you’re out of luck John (although you could have a go) ;)

    I just don’t get it. It feels horribly naive, and looks totally un user friendly.

    Seems it is true that you can take any half baked idea, buy a PO box in SF and you can pretty much get whatever funding you want..

    No, it’s an internationally available service — I’ve been using it fine with my UK number(s) and UK friends, the only arse being that you have to send messages to their +1 number which is classed as an international text and thus double the price.
