Link: Vodafone may rue Carphone exclusion
VODAFONE MIGHT be forced to re-sign in a year with the Carphone Warehouse (CPW) if its UK customerbase goes into terminal decline, predicts James Barford of Enders Analysis.
Alex saw this and forwarded it over. I wonder, I wonder. I’m not sure if Vodafone will ‘rue’ the decision, as the Inquirer article suggests.
If I was Mr Vodafone, the worst possible thing I could do is have my customer base walking into Carphone Warehouse every year to be met with independent advice telling them to switch to a different provider. But does this belittle the Carphone proposition? It all depends how the consumer operates. I don’t have sufficient information to formulate an accurate viewpoint.
It’s a fascinating time in the industry.
