Nokia E series is popular for many reasons, VoIP is one of them (I use E-60 with VoIP) but whish I had the E-61 because it is great for e-mail and SMS texting on the run, and easier than carrying PDAs or notebook. Now that aql are doing VoIP on the N80i as well as E-series that may help N80i sales, but I would rather try the E-61 for a few days before deciding thank you.

Ewan,

It will soon be surpassed by the Nokia N80i. WLAN enabled VOIP handset [Gizmo project for the moment] that has a SIP stack that can be configured for other VOIP services, as well as email and a Mega high res screen for browsing.

Business users are going to move over to this type of device and make Nokia et al enter more into the D2C market. [Sod the operators Hurrah!!!]

I will probably have one with me the next time we meet - must play with this one.

I think if Nokia can make the E61 with WLAN and a SIP stack - then we will have a device that sells more than any playstation.

Speak soon
