Unsolicited text message…. weird

Just got this in on my other line — it’s the one I use for the N90. It’s a cheap and cheerful T-Mobile account with web ‘n walk on it. Rarely ever use it to call anyone.

So I was mystified to receive this message. Apparently ‘they’ tried to contact me? I don’t recall every asking anyone for a deal at all.

I googled the 0800 number but found nothing. Strange, strange, strange. Looks like it was sent from a ‘normal’ phone number? Is this a sales chap hawking a contract?

Double weird.

    Yep, it’s sales spam. I’ve noticed that these have a habit of appearing around contract renewal time – my number could have only been obtained from the operators.

    Forward it to 07TEXT 0SPAM (078398 07726) and they’ll sort it out..
