Ozzie students getting exam results by text

More than 14,600 students who had registered to receive their results by mobile phone were informed of their scores via SMS, while another 6,279 called a special phone service.

Neat, very neat. Much better than popping along to get a piece of paper in an envelope.

… although, the more I think about it, the more exciting it might be to go along to school to pick up your results in a paper envelope. On reflection I wonder if getting your results by text, although convenient, is a little bit clinical. Not very ‘special’ is it?
