The new HLR release was blamed for the PSMS overcharging to prepay users too. Guess it's not a good day to be on the HLR upgrade project team..

Thats not what our internal communication said. Apparently their HLR (home location registers) went down, and i mean more than one. This was due to a release of new code which went wrong. They later said that they were in "Regressive testing"

why should they put a simple message on their website apologising and saying the service is down when they can force us all to call them up, wait 10 minutes in a queue, go through the "press 1 for this, 2 for that..." saga and then eventually speak to a call-centre that is clearly under-resourced during outage times. that would just make no sense at all ;-)

Yep, thought it was just me - I've just switched to Vodafone as there was a coverage blackspot at my work with Orange, only to have a bit of a panic this morning!
Why don't they have coverage updates on their website - I tried calling this morning, got cut off and finally found this online...

Anyway, short answer is yes coverage is non-existent around Aldershot :-(
