It exists to make money by selling tickets, utterly unlike any Nokia event, which exists to generate buzz for Nokia. Informa want press to be there so that the attendees wil be happy, but they don't want every enthusiast on the planet turning up for free and making the whole place into a bearpit. And they're not going to demolish their revenue model by giving free tickets to anyone savvy enough to open a wordpress account. 3GSM is a business.
