TextQueen, I salute you for saying everything I have been thinking but been too wussy to write!

Many moons ago when I was in the adult chat industry, such desperate individuals would have been culled before an interview – adult chat is about providing a service where rules need following (or else, as operators, we’d be fined or at the worst, have our consent to run the services terminated.)

Adult chat is a skill which does have cultural differences (sex is not just about sex, if you know what I mean) so outsourcing such a delicate service is ridiculous.

But I guess, it’s like everything else – try outsourcing, realise what a mess is being made as the differences come to the fore, and watch the work come back. It’s happening across the tech industry again (you should have seen the “cheap” work we’ve made money in correcting).

If I was back in the game now, I’d keep UK ops for the UK arm, US for the US arm. There are some things you can’t skimp money on – and good communication, especially in a service like chat, is one of them.

Even if they were hiring none of you idiots would get a job. Your first mistake is NOT reading or following instructions how freaking hard is it to see the person stated “SMS TEXT NEWS IS NOT OFFERING JOBS AS TEXT CHAT OPERATORS SO PLEASE DO NOT WRITE IN TO APPLY!” Do you really think anyone would offer simpletons who can’t read or follow simple instructions NOT to email or apply to them a position. And just read where some of you sound so desperate, including your email address and rattling off your experience….oh yeah like the sympathy plea will get you anywere. I sure as hell wouldn’t hire you nor even acknowledge you! These people are in the business of doing what so many other US companies have turned to: THEY are the ones doing the jobs that are being taken from other industralized nations: CALL CENTER WORK, I.T. etc. They are in INDIA, OUTSOURCED I.T. LABOR aka the people to whom many of us “overpaid” USA people have to thank for getting our jobs. If anyone cared to read you you would see they state for as little as $ 3.00 an hour so imagine what the text operators are making an hour. Some people really do need to not only learn to read but comprehend!!!!
