Sony Ericsson is delighted to announce that its K800 Cyber-shot camera phone has been awarded Best 3GSM Handset at the GSM Association’s Global Mobile Awards 2007.

It’s getting a bit old now, the K800, but really, there is nothing on the market to rival it at all yet.

It’s still a phenomenally good phone.

Yes, it’s not in the gorgeous-league as the likes of the uber-new LG Shine however when it comes to a workhorse handset for a serious mobile user who obsesses over 3.2 megapixel ultra-brilliant pictures, the K800 is in a class of it’s own. I don’t think there’s a Nokia to rival it. Possibly the N73.

I’m interested to see what Sony Ericsson bring along as the next version…

The Shine is the best looking phone I’ve ever seen, but I’d say that the N93i is the best all round photo (and video) phone.
