£12m satellite ‘reduces need for mobile phone masts’

A satellite handling mobile phone calls in London has been backed by the London Development Agency (LDA).

The technology will reduce the need for unpopular masts and could also be used to track motorists, the LDA said.

He was less than impressed though, commenting:

    To make mobile phone calls? Don’t necessarily have to personally own one, although that is one way to cook your dinner at night.
