Gonna give me a tinkle?

Some ladies sat on the train next to me have been talking about calling people.

One of them is ‘going to give him a tinkle when she gets in’. Interesting. Then five minutes later she said, ‘I will give her a ring and see.’

I reckon that a ‘tinkle’ is a quick 60 second call whereas a ‘ring’ is 5min+.
