Mobile signal a bit iffy? Just shake your handset about a bit

There’s a lady sat next to me on the train just now. We’ve been going through a dodgy signal area and she’s been cut off a few times. I saw her looking at the signal bars and regularly shaking her phone to try and get it to lock on to a signal…..

…. heh.

I’ve done that a few times. I’ve also tried waving it around a lot. Crazy.

I remember when that used to actually help though.

I also remember being able to cut off my friend’s mobile phone conversations by putting my hand over their T-Mobile handset for 3 seconds and thus blocking the signal…. oh the fun we had at University with that trick.
