Samsung have got a new ultra cool marketing campaign moving to support the launch of their absolutely stonking slim handsets — they all come under the banner ‘the Ultra Edition II’.

The campaign focuses on milimetres mattering. Have a look at this:

Picture 55Now, if you visit their main site and pop up the Ultra II microsite, you’ll see a wickedly good example of WHY milimetres matter. There’s an animation that shows a guy putting a standard mobile phone into his shirt pocket — and his pocket bulging in a really annoying fashion. THEN you see him slip the 5.9 milimetre thin U100 into his shirt pocket. Not a bulge. Fantastic.

It’s a brilliant way of positioning the handset range. And I tell you what, they are downright sexy. I am particularly liking the look of the SGH-U600.
