Be aware of the problems you might find. First of all, you can use a gmail account but not a Google Apps for Your Domain account. Second, there is no calendar integration yet, except for using some third party software (some of which you have to pay an on-going rate for). Third, some networks (Vodafone UK is one of them) prevents the Java applications from connecting through their network.

I use Google on a Blackberry and E61i, and the best way I've found to overcome these issues is to go online and use their online services. Email is available at http://m.google.com/a (for hosted domains) and calendar.google.com works fantastically well :-)

Ewan have you tried out GoTalkMobile? Check them out and see what you think. I've never tried GTalk on a BB but I thought I would mention this other option, though I don't know how it compares. Good luck.

By the way, do you know if I can use Good on my E61 in the US and only have my 8 or so emails hooked up, not a whole server?
