I have a lot to say about .mobi and the industry that promoted it. Towards the end of July I'll have a personal site to share my views along with a site dedicated to the icon. In the meantime, feel free to use the icon or create your own. The web needs a standard mobile icon and I doubt the "mobile leaders" will support such a moral cause.
