Three UK – responsive as ever

I wanted to highlight Jonathan’s point about Three UK — and in particular their X-Series team who’ve been very responsive:
SMS Text News » CUE A RANT: Three UK is ALL OVER THE PLACE with their Nokia N95 strategy

I did want to add to Ewan’s post that I was very impressed by the speed and openness with which the X-Series blog team responded. I had expected a lengthy wait and a non-committal response. I was pleasantly surprised by the very quick reply to my enquiry, the fact that they had gone to the trouble of properly checking, and that I got a real answer and offer of help rather than a sales fob off.

Whilst it is frustrating that the N95 is not currently available, I think that 3′s open approach through their X-Series blog is very posative and should be encouraged.

I talked with Three UK’s PR representatives today. I explained that I was going nuts. Uber-nuts, with a large amount of passion, at the N95 delays. The N95 with the X-Series: Now that would be a sight to behold.

He’s invited me in to talk to them — on a public basis, so, if you’ve got any questions that you’d like me to put to Three UK, post them here or email me.

Very exciting.

Could we use the x series as a modem with a limit ?

I also understand [http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=254271] that they were looking at Windows mobile based devices (I know you are not a fan ;) for X-Series – is this the case?, and what devices are likely to be available. Thanks.

Can they give any hint on future services that might be provided as part of the X-Series package? Jaiku or Twitter for example? A partnership with Shozu (for uploading media content) might also be a good idea. Thanks.
