This information is incorrect.

Use of the “internet” AP is included in the Â£7.50 package.

There was a billing issue, which is why whoever wrote this article was charged.

vodafone customer service were a little confused.

You should now have a refund, if not then contact vodafone.

Vodafone also told me today that the ‘internet’ APN is covered in the Â£7.50 deal.

A guy from technical support also told me that a GPRS/3G connection will timeout after aprox 10 minutes!

This in effect makes Direct Push useless/slow.

I may be taking my Treo 750 back to the store on this basis alone, let alone the long wait for a supposed WM6 update!

I’m not sure I entirely understand..

I called Vodafone and enquired about upload vs download and the 120mb and Internet APN vs Vodafone Live before I went to Glastonbury… (for my Vox purposes) …they said it was fine and it was all covered with my Â£7.50 deal.

Have I misunderstood something?

Saying that – I should get my first bill in a few days, I’ll check!

On my Treo 750v I.m connected to an exchange server using direct push! My emails arrive anywhere between 1 – 8 minutes (mostly 5 – 8 mins) on my Treo after arriving on the server!

I’ve checked almost all settings on both the server and the device, and am convinced that it’s an issue with the Vodafone network.

Well I have heard they have a new email service that allows you to upload 2 meg attachments for just 12p. You can email photos to flickr, can’t you?

No, that’s not the case John. I really hoped it was. I thought we’d got it sorted – 7.50 a month for 120mb. Not huge, but at least enough for your average normob. Install ShoZu and upload 3 meg’s worth of pictures? That’ll cost you Â£6 — Â£2 a meg.

You can browse, use google, youtube, myspace — that’s fine. Anything not approved and it’s Â£2 a meg. I was looking very carefully at the terms and conditions last night.

Really, really, really happy to be corrected though!

hmm, doesn’t sound right to me. I was told the data bundle applies to wap and internet apn, and if you don’t want to use the rendering engine to use the internet apn instead. I’d suggest Reuben calls their help desk.
