In 1986, 0.6% of households owned a mobile phone

I was reading a document sent through to me from the Energy Saving Trust. In it, there’s a section on mobile phone usage which reads:

Ownership of mobile phones has grown expontentially over the last 20 years: 0.6 per cent of household owned a mobile in 1985 (first year of recorded ownership figures) rising to 96 per cent in 2004.

I reckon it’s got to be nigh on 100% now.
