Could it be that O2 are bolstering costs to make up any short fall for the 10% they will pay Apple for all voice / text and data charges that are earned by IPhone use.....?

I've had no problems with O2 in any other area - accurate bills, decent CS, "my europe"/ok roaming rates but data - they are seriously taking the ****. We do still have 3 phones in the household on O2 and I can virtually guarantee that at contract renewal time they will switch network plain and simply on data pricing even for moderate use (something like 30Mb for £2.50 for lightweight users)

I had to laugh on Friday when I got a text message from them.

It read; "From 28/9 the data usage price on some networks will change from £5.29/MB (inc VAT) to £7.05 so you’ll just pay one flat rate when abroad."

The wording is such as to make us grateful for their having made our lives easier. Now when we go abroad we don't have to think about where we are and then try to remember which tier that country is in and from that figure out the cost.... oh no... all that's gone. Our life is made simpler because now all we need to remember is that we are being well and truly screwed wherever we are.

Thanks O2, I knew there was a reason I loved you.

I've just got another text from O2 saying that 0844 and 0845 numbers will now not be coverd in your 'Free' minutes and will incur a chage of 20p per min.

O2 are on a roll today.....

Christ on a bike, those guys must all need new kitchens or something.... How can they get away with it. I have been an O2 customer for 16 years and I've had enough now. I will not be renewing my deal when it expires in november even if they give me a IPhone for free....

They know it will take another 5 years before any euro commission tackles data rates so they'll make hay while the sun shines.

Does anyone know what the Intl rates are for 3 and T-Mobile?
