flowers

As per Krystal’s earlier note, we’ve sent flowers to Kris Rinne, Chief Technology Officer, AT&T Mobility.

Remember we wanted to recognise good people in the mobile industry that SMS Text News readers reckoned deserved a bunch of flowers? Well, we’ve gone live with that!

Our inaugural recipient, Kris Rinne, was nominated by Tony Carter, Public Relations Director, North America, for Spinvox. Congratulations Kris!

I’ll let Tony explain why he suggested her.

Tony writes:

I now work for SpinVox but spent the last six years at Cingular (now the new AT&T). Kris Rinne was the CTO and now she heads up all technology development for all of AT&T and is based at the wireless HQ in Atlanta.

She will be bridging the divide between wireless and wireline through IMS and other enabling technologies. (Of course, we would like for her to use a little SpinVox glue to tie some of these parts together but that’s another story.)

On a personal note, she was one of the most effective and level-headed senior executives I’ve been associated with. Given her tasks, some unsolicited flowers with no strings attached might be a welcome component to her day.

Nice one Tony, thank you for taking the time to make the suggestion!

If you’d like to nominate someone, find out more on this post. We’ll have another recipient next Monday!
