Are you planning on going along to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year? Me? I’m still annoyed at their no-blogger policy. That really wound me right up. Incidentally, I’m going along to speak to some brands thinking of going along next year — they’re looking for my perspective on interacting with bloggers at the event. The first point I’m going to make? Get the GSMA to change it’s no-blogger policy.
Anyway, I got a mail in today from Global Concierge Services explaining that they offer a whole raft of hotel and concierge related services for the event:

I don’t know them from Adam so I can’t recommend them — however they may well be useful. An apartment for 600 EURO a week sounds good to me. Their site is at www.the-gcs.com.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to bother going.
I found this blog maybe is useful, this blogger helped me find a suitable inexpensive company during the 3 GSM last year. If you have any questions about an apartment rental in Barcelona during the convention do not hesitate to contact this blogger. I know this blogger personally and I believe her free advise will be very helpful for all attendees.
Regards,
S
If you go would you like to split a place? Not into paying outrageous fees and none of my friends want to go to a conference about cell phones. The one guy I do know who is coming reserved a hotel room the size of my non-walkin closet.

We called the Way2Stay.com contact number and were directed to several nice apartments (now booked by us) for 3GSM. There was quite a good selection still available, not shoeboxes, with internet and convenient to the Fira GSM hall. And a nice helpful customer services team.
The only thing with an apartment is that usually the separate sleeping areas involve a sofabed of some sort for someone, but it’s worthwhile to get a lounge and kitchen etc.
We have (collectively) 3 balconies with the apartments we booked with way2stay.
There are some great apartments available at http://www.rentcityapartments.com The prices have been lowered and some flats have an additional 10% discount.
The company is known for customer service and quality flats.
There are some really special flats right on Plaza Cataluña, including penthouses!!!
