Got this via Holland’s Telecom Paper site, which, alas is subscription only. I have oft thought about subscribing as now and again they have some good stories.
They’re reporting that Orange France has decided to donate EURO 0.05 per text message sent from its network on September 15th to chilren’s charity, Unicef.
Now, the problem with these sorts of things is that I automatically think ‘but what about September 16th? Or the 17th?’
It could work out to be a rather good amount of money for Unicef.
