iPhone launch-day for the UK coming up quickly

And how are the competing mobile operators getting on, I wonder?

No doubt the T-Mobiles, 3UKs, o2s and Vodafones are, at least, slightly concerned at the imminent launch of the iPhone coming 9th November.

I wonder how many customers o2 will be able to churn from other networks on to the iPhone? 20,000? That’s fine.

But if they’re able to take 100,000 new customers? Or 200,000? Or half a million? I wonder, I wonder.

It’s going to be an exciting month, November.

    Honestly?

    Anytime ANYONE pulls out an iphone I just know I’m going to feel the same way as I do whenever anyone pulls out a RAZR and tells me how cool it is…

    I’ve had mine for a month now, using it on t-mobile, the only real bug to bear is you can’t forward SMS text, but thats a small price really when your the owner of such a cool phone. It dosent do anything special, it’s the way it does it.
    class just pure class

    Can anyone with an unlocked iPhone comment on which UK networks (apart from O2 obviously) have usable EDGE networks and whether it makes any discernable difference?

    As far as I know the only EDGE-capable networks are O2 and Orange, but it’s surprisingly tricky to confirm…
