WordPress S60 client, update

You know I’m getting this S60 client for managing WordPress on Symbian created? Well, whilst I sit and stare at the wall (the first bits are being created at the moment, not a lot to do, nothing to test), I’m on the hunt for a name.

Any ideas? I can’t obviously use the name ‘wordpress’ in it. And I’d like to stay away from an unimaginative ‘wp-something’.

Something unique. But not silly.

The ‘RedDragonOrangeElephantZebraTangoo S60 client for WordPress’…? No ;-)

If you’ve any ideas, do email me or post here.

To those who’ve emailed to alpha test, I say to you: Right on! I’ll be group-mailing with an update as soon as I have a sis file for you to play with. If you’d like to test, just shoot me an email and I’ll add you to the list. You’ll get a spamarrest reply automatically — look out for it — just approve it and your mail will come straight through to me.

It’s slightly nerve-wracking having the client developed. Normally I’m used to standing next to the programmer when I’m having stuff made. Or, more likely, I’m searching Google for hints whilst I try and program (whatever it is) myself in a caffeine filled 4am haze. I know what I want, and what I’ve specified. I just wonder if it’ll be anywhere near that.

Let’s see. Hoooooray for global commerce!

I’d try and keep aything wordpress, wp, press etc related in the name, as it then gives you the possability to add support for other blog software in the future if you ever wanted to.

Someting informative like MobileBlogger or MoBBlog perhaps

What about ‘On The Road’ after the Jack Kerouac novel. Since like the book, blogs are essentially talking in a text format and mobile phones primary use is talk despite all the great mobile applications out there. Just a thought.

How about PresTo Go? (amalgamation of “wordPRESS”, “presto” (i.e. easy) and “TO GO” as in mobile)?
    … good luck.
