Top 3 iPhone applications?

To all the iPhone users reading… now that my iPhone is unlocked and usable again, I’m hunting around for new iPhone applications and services to play with. What are your top three? Any suggestions?

Ewan – Mippin! We work with the javascript to pre-cache the stories in the background so you are not frustrated when out of WiFi coverage.

If you use Last.fm, I’d say MobileScrobbler.
I play Chess on my iPhone on the Tube every day, so that’s another one for me.
Finally, TinyProxy. Connect your laptop to the internet through your iPhone, over wifi. It may be slow, but it gets the job done.

I’ve had my iPhone for a week now and I’ve found the web based site more useful than the installed applications. LinkedIn mobile at m.linkedin.com is great, when you add a link to the site on the home screen you get a nice icon. Google Calendar, Reader and Gmail are also pretty handy.

Not seen any extraordinary applications yet. CameraPro isn’t bad. A much better camera app than the default.

    My top 5 iPhone gripes:

    1. No MMS support.
    2. No WapPush support.
    3. Poor Bluetooth stack, apparently improved with 1.1.4.
    4. No video recorder
    5. Poor Syncing of data other than Outlook, Yahoo.

Apart from this, one of the most usable devices ever. S60 is being left behind. Let’s hope S60 touch improves.

Now this will be a can’o'worms!

I think you’ll need to break it down into user profiles.

For me (family bloggy dad & DIY mangler):

SendPics – because it doesn’t resize or otherwise faff with the image you just blogged or Flickr’d
Converter – a joyous UI and does the job for working out how much you need of what when standing in Homebase or Wickes
RealArtist – keeps the under-8 kids quiet for ages as tey take snaps and then mangle them

I imagine those yet to breed with a regular nightlife will have a rather different take ;-)

@Simon. A mobile scrobbler for my iPhone to sync with Last.fm might be reason enough to hack my phone. Still, I plan to wait until the 6th to see what I should do.

MMS now working (send and receive):

@Sonya – you can do scrobbling on the iPhone! It does it live, OTA.
