		<description>Well... technically, they&#039;re right.  In the UK, if you want to dial an international number, you must first dial &quot;00&quot;.

However, other countries have different ideas as to how to dial an international number via POTS.  So, in GSM, the international &quot;number&quot; is a plus sign.  Hence, if you want to dial the UK it&#039;s +44, Ireland is +35, Germany is +49 etc.

Interestingly, T-Mob aren&#039;t using an Ofcom reserved number.  I wonder is the owner of 07940123456 is happy to have their number used as an example - or have they don&#039;t the smart thing and redirected it to an IVR?</description>
