This is really funny. The past week I've had a ton of issues waking up because I don't have my mobile. I actually went out and bought a temporary one so that I had an alarm clock until my iPhone can be replaced.

yes, they are good for day to day use. If you've had a really late night and are really tired, you'll need a normal alarm clock as well (which is built in to the sunrise clock too - as a buzzer or as the radio). It also has a lovely sleep function where the light slowly dims to replicate the sun going down which is a lovely way to wind down at night too.

I still use an alarm clock but it is a wireless device! It uses an electronic time signal to ensure it's 100% accurate. Although if I'm honest, when it dies I'll go mobile!

I use my phone as an alarm clock. But I also use one of those sunrise alarm clocks that slowly fills your bedroom full of sunlight as a more gentle wake-up call.

And I most definitely use calendar entries as alarm calls - particularly for when I have to catch a flight or train.

So none of this surprises me at all!

Bah! Until my phone can wake me up to the sound of the pips on the Today Show, I'm not interested. Although if I sleep through that, my Blackberry automatically switches on a 0730 and starts chirruping away.
