I arranged to meet with Scott Weiss, Executive Director of Human Factors International (HFI). HFI are a world leader in usability and Scott is their mobile/handset uber-expert. I wanted to know what he thought of the iPhone, Blackberry and other manufacturer efforts and where we were headed in the future.

I find that the real time aspect of QiK isn't worth the sacrifice in both video and sound quality. If I can, I'd vote for you to record then upload later.
Excellent, Ewan. The problem with texting (typing) on the iPhone remains to be on the top of most user's complaints in an otherwise rosy picture.
However, it looks like Apple is sticking with the current touch screen. Therefore, Scott's analogy of the iPhone being “fun” and the blackberry being business is right on.
