Bebo gets new head of mobile

Social networker Bebo has got itself a brand spanking new head of mobile, the form of Sean Kane, former GM of International at mobile social networking platform provider Intercasting – the two companies already have a relationship, with Bebo using Intercasting’s Anthem platform/

Bebo has already got a few deals with mobile operators in the UK – Orange, T-Mobile and O2 – although mostly they’re of the uninspiring joint branding kind, rather than any interesting content plans or tie-ups with existing operator services. It looks like Kane’s got a background more in media than in telecoms, so hopefully he’ll be looking to move Bebo into creating new mobile services, rather than just mobilising the ones they’ve already got.
