Will have a play with this today - I really wish there was one service that combine it all - combining a Friends List, GPS software, etc, so you get notifications if friends are near. BrightKite is nearly there, but you need to update your status manually. I want something that will use the GPS in my phone to SEND my location automatically, and i'd get /send notifications to friends that I was nearby. and recieve them from nearby friends. If someone could do that - I'd be very impressed.

Ewan - it works - well.

You can send your current GPS location by SMS to another phone and they click the link and up pops ypou on a map - brilliant! Easiest GPS location sharing tool I have used, and I've used a few with my LBS hat on.
