Hi Pat. That is what I did. I guess I'm looking for a way of bringing all my numbers, IDs & URLs together in one place that's easily accessible, controllable & secure.

Hi Andreas

You mean a bit like "text STEVE to 60300" here in the UK - go on, try it out (stnd rate). This is exactly what half our 5,000 clients do with their keyword, simply return their current contact details, which can be updated in about 5 seconds any time you like.

This service has been around 8 years, so not quite sure what extra .tel really offers!?

I wish there was a way for someone to just send an SMS to a central number/service and have my latest contact details sent back to them. There are a couple of companies who do this, but only in the US so far.

For that kind of service to grab my contact info from let's say Google Contacts would be perfect.

Hi Jonathan
thanks for the mention
I suppose the interesting one for me is that with call forwarding to a local fixed line number via MAXroam means you are always available on your original one number no matter where you are in the world.
The idea behind local maxroam numbers for traveling is to save your callers money in there local country whilst you are there.
Generally if I am visiting somewhere I will just email my contacts my number whilst there, when I return home I forward that number to a destination of my choice so now my local contacts have a number for me which finds me wherever I decide.
