Betavine’s first 3 ‘Summer of Widget’ winners announced

Congratulations to the developers of widgets LiveTube, WotsforDina and AnimalLogic. They’ve all won this week’s ‘Summer of Widget’ developer competition on Vodafone’s betavine.

That means that they’ll be shortly receiving a brand new Samsung NC 20 Netbook along with a Nokia N96 handset. Get IN.

Don’t despair if you didn’t win though — there’s another few weeks to go, still. There’s still time for you to hurry over to betavine and submit a nice MIR-branded widget!

Find out more about the widget competition here.

Each of the widgets, designed for the S60 platform, are pretty nifty:

LiveTube by neverscroll
Live Tube displays real-time status information of the London Underground. You can forward such info via SMS / Twitter SMS

WotsforDina by eggsy84
A widget allowing people to search for recipes, view ingredients and follow steps to create the recipe

AnimalLogic by jappit
AnimaLogic is a puzzle game where you have to pop animals from the board, by placing 3 or more of each kind horizontally or vertically

The widgets are available right now for download — you just need to be sporting an S60 device with a data plan.
