Congratulations are in order for the Touchnote team. The company’s co-founder, Raam Thakrar delivered a solid and direct 2-minute pitch along side 6 other contenders.
Raam was presenting Touchnote Mobile — which, in brief — allows consumers to send photographs from their handsets as physical (and beautiful looking) postcard/greetings cards in the mail. Raam focused on the estimated market size for the industry ($500m in 3 years, say analysts) and on the Touchnote Mobile API (“Touchnote This”) that they’re now offering to any mobile developers who want to monetise their photography (or related) applications. Very smart indeed.
Well done Touchnote! Kudos to the MobileBeat 2009 audience who elected them the winners. I think it’s a brilliant service.
