Great product and now using it to connect to internet radio in my car.Status lights on the Three MiFi can be misleading but certainly makes dongles redundant.

WiFi keeps switching off after some hours of use. No apparent setting or reason. Each morning I have to press the WiFI connect button before I can use it

Ok,

The 3Uk MiFi is great. I live in Ireland, and after O2 wouldn't sell me a replacement SIM card for their PAYG mobile broadband, I wandered in to 3.

Looked at the offer they had, and thought why not?

It is great to be able to wander around and have data access over my iPhone and not get ripped a new one: http://tinyurl.com/lv7ed5 as well as having laptop access.

And hey, I'll try and use all 3GB in 3 days!

My only issue with handset integrated MiFi, Giff, is that I don't want to see my handset battery impacted significantly — it's rubbish enough as it is!

Verizon's third Android phone to have MiFi capability. Seriously, it will have the ability to act as a MiFi wireless router, according to an Unstrung report. Verizon says the device will be available early next year.

or if like me and your original 3 dongle is coming to an end, you can get the mifi for free, and 3gb for 9.50 a month..which is a pretty darn good deal.

The Novatel experience as it stands is great (plus I like how any WiFi-connected device can access its microSD card, unlike with the Huawei) but it's their future plans that have me more excited. The Huawei will only ever be a way of sharing 3G with a handful of WiFi devices, but the Novatel is a standalone device in its own right, a platform with an apps processor, memory and an API. Early days for developers, I know, but it doesn't take a huge amount of imagination to come up with some tempting scenarios involving an always-connected mobile device that can act as a mini personal server.
