Can you identify this phone?

On the train again and goodness me I keep seeing folk with weird and wonderful phones. This evening I saw a chap with one of these. It’s definitely a Sony Ericsson (the guy has the stupid one-inch wide bollocks headphone jack that SE used to offer their customers). I can’t remember the model name though. Can you?

    I think that's the Ericsson P1/P1i if I'm not mistaken…

Think it is the p1 or the p900 which had a flip keyboard but I think that sat a little higher than this keyboard. My flat mate many years ago had a p800 and still raves about it to this day! (out of interest hes now on an iPhone)

    Definitely the P1i.

  • o_guest

    Yes, it’s a P1i
One of the last UIQ devices.
Och, rest in peace UIQ. Such a horrible OS it was

  • Dancedynamix

It's the Rev 2 iPhone 4G with improved wrap-around RF-perfomance-enhancingh case and bluetooth keyboard, and new proprietary 1-inch dock connector.

defo the p1, i had one a couple of years ago, sweet little thing, still around in one of my desk drawers I think. Quite an improvement from the p990

  • http://www.mobileindustryreview.com Ewan

Did that not have a flip keyboard?

  • http://twitter.com/gersbo Christopher Gersbo

No, the P1 did not have a flip keyboard like the P800/P900/P910i/P990 predecessors all had: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_P910

  • Homolupus

Well, technically it was symbian with UIQ UI on top ;)

Mine was a SE123… but then it was a prototype from SEMC! Defo a P1i, last of the great UIQ phones…
