I’m delighted that we managed to grab a few minutes with Yoni Bloch, founder of music video startup, Interlude. Yoni amazed MIPTV’s Connected Creativity audience with a demonstration of Interlude’s interactive video technology that enables consumers to dynamically adjust their experience of (in this case) a music video, scene by scene. Here’s Yoni:

Rebels create their own mobile network in Libya
An interesting piece in the Telegraph today highlights just how important communications technology is on the battlefield. Previously the rebels were using ‘a primate system of flags’ to communicate with each other. Libyan rebels have access to a mobile phone network for the first time in a month after a secret operation to hijack equipment [...]

3 MiFi success, yet-again, I love it (via Amazon)
I sound like a broken record when it comes to the 3 MiFi units. I’m use mine every day, especially when I’m driving (or, being driven, I should say) up and down the M4. The signal is just brilliant. Obviously the Deltenna WIBE is the daddy but in terms of ultimate portability, the MiFi combined [...]

MightyPR: Silicon Valley’s newest addition — get in quick!
I’m a big, big fan of Spark PR who are, if memory serves, the largest independent public relations agency serving Silicon Valley. And boy do they serve. I’ve seen the results first-hand. The connections, the influence, the talent. Two of Spark’s top people, Candace Locklear and Rebecca Fuller, have jumped out into their own small, [...]

‘At the carphone warehouse, you won’t pay extra for internet’
That headline is a direct quote from a radio advertisement I heard just now from the Carphone Warehouse. Bad news for the market. Bad news for the data crunch. Bad news for the end customer. Very bad news. It’s bad news because it’s educating consumers that the internet has little value. So little value that [...]
Alex Ljung of SoundCloud interviewed at Connected Creativity
I managed to grab Alex Ljung, co-founder of SoundCloud at MIPTV’s Connected Creativity in Cannes to find out all about his mobile audio service — it made quite a splash at the event! Here’s Alex’s interview:

The speed and security of this hotspot cannot be guaranteed
I came across this sign at Earls Court today during the London Book Fair event. I wonder if we will begin to see more and more WiFi signs with this kind of disclaimer? Posted via email from MIR Live
