Have you been doing the 12 Days of Christmas with Apple?

IMG_0885

I’ve long been a super fan of Apple’s 12 Days of Christmas concept. Launched quite a while ago now, the app offers users free downloads (games, books, apps) each day for 12 days after Christmas. It’s a genius concept because it helps bring the new consumers into the ecosystem without the inevitable payment friction — rather useful if you’ve just got an iDevice from Santa.

This year I haven’t been that turned-on by the offering until today’s book offer — it’s Ken Follett’s “The Pillars of The Earth” and it’s a good’un.

I’d like to see a lot more providers adopt this free trial style offering. Have you got a New Year’s special offer or something similar planned?
