My other handset is a Blackberry.

And oh boy, I’m being royally nailed. Nailed to the wall. Here’s a snapshot.

I blew just under 50 quid last month using my Blackberry.

My mistake is to use the device’s data functions (other than the simple email). Or maybe I’m getting too much email.

I’m fine with it. (He writes, pained smile on his face.)

Once again, I signed the contract. I agreed to the stupid terms.

I thought we’d got over it though.

But no.

ONE price plan allows fair-use data. The other one — the Blackberry one — doesn’t. Why?

It’s about time Vodafone got passed this rubbish behaviour.

I’ll pay you, Voda. I most certainly will. But I’d like value.

5 pence per kilobyte is ridiculous.

I’ll happily pay for better contention rates on my cell tower. I’ll pay for quality — for better priority across the Vodafone network out to the internet. I’ll pay for that.

But I severely object to paying 5p a kilo — or whatever it eventually works out at once you include VAT.

I’ve done the sensible thing and switched off my Blackberry. It’s not been connected to the network for a week now. And there it shall stay until that nice Mr Coca Cola sorts it.
