Amy Cope of Vodafone UK
Operations Manager
Vodafone UK
Midlands

Biography:
I work for Vodafone UK and have done so for the past seven years. My current and most interesting role I’ve filled in the company, focuses on something relatively new for Vodafone UK – the internet as a Customer Service Channel!

I work within the Customer Services organisation and initially lead a team of people who were scouring the internet looking for Vodafone customers who were choosing to use forums, review sites and blogs as a way of seeking help. We discovered a vast array of sites such as 3G Forum, Digital Spy & Money Saving Expert just to name a few, and quickly discovered there was a huge market for giving help online. We had a great reaction from our customers who we gave help to.

My team would have been recognised on these sites as Vodafone’s Forum Intervention Team, but more recently you may know them as the eForum Team. We launched our own customer support forum from 31st January 2008 and it’s fair to say things are going well.

If you’d like to take a look at what we do for our customers and how we do it, visit http://forum.vodafone.co.uk

She Says:
If something is worthwhile saying, why say it to just one person when you can say it to thousands.

We Say:
Amy is friendly, responsive and highly capable -- just the sort of person you want supervising Vodafone's eForum outreach programme. Fantastic service ethic. Wicked work, Amy!

I also admire Jane Hext, who is the Customer Service Director for Vodafone. Like me, she’s passionate about customer service and she acts as the voice of our customers every day. Her focus on delivering exceptional customer service is inspirational.
